HydroWorx Underwater Treadmill
Do you want to try an underwater treadmill in the Raleigh / Durham / Chapel Hill area outside of a physical therapy clinic or college athletic training room? Supplement rehabilitation, relieve chronic pain, improve mobility or cognition, regain balance, and increase muscle mass and strength in both the lower and upper body – all with minimal risk of injury.
The HydroWorx Underwater Treadmill offers both assistance and resistance. Being immersed in water assists by offloading your body weight and reducing pressure and impact on your ankles, knees, hips, and back. It also provides constant, uniform resistance, allowing you to get more of a workout from a simple movement like walking!
Exercise your body and your brain! Know someone struggling with a neurological disorder (dementia, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, etc.) or cognitive decline? Water stimulates blood flow to the brain, which can improve brain function and help the elderly age in place!
The speed of the cushioned treadmill ranges from .2 to 6 mph and can be increased or decreased smoothly. You can also exercise in the water without the treadmill moving depending on your personal condition and goals! Water depth is adjustable up to 50 inches. Higher depth means more body weight is offloaded. Resistance jets can be set at various speeds and directions to ensure proper resistance, while support bars provide added safety. We 30, 45 or 60 minute sessions.

Want to relax? Try our massage therapy, soothing foot soaks and more. All can be customized upon request.
In addition to traditional Swedish massage, R3 Wellness offers sports massage, aromatherapy, deep tissue work and various stretching techniques to help the whole person.
Foot soaks can be infused with essential oils and salts to increase circulation, remove toxins from the body, and reduce pain, discomfort, and inflammation.

Reiki healing
Reiki healing is less about receiving treatment and more about learning to treat yourself. The purpose of Reiki healing is to align your own energy with the energy around you and remove obstructions to energy flow. This makes it possible for energy to move freely through your body, which connects your body’s many systems to enable healing and rebalancing. We offer 30, 45 or 60 minute sessions.

The average HydroMassage Lounge session is just 15 minutes. However, we will customize the session length to suit your needs.
